Chapter History
On April 3rd, 2010, Sigma Pi Fraternity was formed at WSU, which also marked a significant return to the state of Washington for Sigma Pi. Formed as a colony in Fall of ’07, Sigma Pi has never had a chapter at WSU. In many ways, our chapter was the one chapter that shouldn’t be. We have seen highs and lows as an organization as 58 founding fathers can attest to. The colony hit its low point in the fall of 2008 when the membership size had fallen to three members. Those three members with help from National headquarters built the colony back up. We now stand as a top organization in size, academics, and philanthropic involvement in WSU and serve as a prime example of not giving up or giving into failure. As a young fraternity we have worked hard to acquire a house within a year of chartering. We continue to grow and excel in many aspects of greek life as we build our legacy.
