Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc.
Was established on April 9, 1990 at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. The creation of our sisterhood began with a vision to create and provide a network of academic and social support for Latina women. Since that time the organization has evolved to become the largest, historically Latina based national sorority with a multicultural membership. On the beautiful day of March 25, 2010,Washington State University was recognized as a colony of Sigma Lambda Gamma and has been making their presence known on our campus through the promotion of our principles and philanthropies. As women of distinction we live by our morals and ethics, believe in serving the community, engage in cultural awareness activities, create social collaboration opportunities, excel in our academics all while upholding our philanthropies which are breast cancer awareness and the TRiO programs. We sustain our mission and continually strive to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.
