The Iota Tau chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on the Eastern Washington University campus on May 3, 1975. 

 

Founded in Ithaca, NY on the campus of Cornell University on an "ice cold" December 4th 1906, where 7 founders known as "jewels" created the first historically Black Greek letter organization. The Iota Tau chapter holds their ideals from their motto and founders by serving in food banks over the holidays, as well as holding study tables for students throughout the school year.
